Birefringent Device Glan Thompson Prism
Glan Thompson prism is a birefringent device composed of two prisms of the same crystal material. The Glan Thompson prism has a high transmittance, and the Glan Taylor polarizer reduces reflection loss, but it limits its application in the ultraviolet band. Glan Thompson prisms often use transmitted e-light, while applying black paint on the side to absorb the reflected o-light.
